The spirit of inclusion and community was on full display as more than 600 players, families, and friends came together at The Home of The Matildas on Saturday, August 30, for Football Victoria’s (FV) annual Football for All Gala Day.
The event has become a cornerstone of FV’s calendar, showcasing the importance of creating pathways and opportunities participants with a disability. The purpose of the day is to unite club-based all abilities programs from across the state.
28 teams from 18 clubs took part on the day on the day with FC Bulleen Special Olympics and Sydenham Park SC participating for the first time.
FV All Abilities & Inclusion Programs Coordinator, Selin Arpaci said this year's event was the "biggest one yet".
“This gala day shows just how much the football community values inclusivity and creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy the game," she said.

The action-packed day had something for everyone, with highlights including the All Abilities League Grand Finals, Football Matches, Melbourne Victory FC clinics, the Women & Girls CP Football Clinic and Hoppers Crossing SC ASD Academy training.
Attendees also enjoyed a Powerchair Football showcase, along with special appearances from ParaRoos and ParaMatildas players and coaches, Melbourne City FC Powerchair Football players and partner stalls.

The festivities also marked the conclusion of the 2025 All Abilities League season with the Victorian Para Football State Team emerged as champions, while Hampton Park United Sparrows FC claimed the runners-up position.
The Gala Day was not only a celebration of football but also a testament to the community’s commitment to inclusivity, connection, and opportunity.
Football Victoria extends its gratitude to all supporting partners for helping make this year’s event the biggest and most memorable Gala Day yet.
