Football Victoria acknowledges the concerns raised about the fixture between Monash Villareal and Boroondara Eagles in the U12 girls on the 12th July 2026 at Caloola Reserve, and the distress caused to the players, coaches and families involved.
The matter is now being handled through FV’s formal Member Protection process. To ensure it is considered fairly, FV can not comment further while that process is underway.
FV is also reviewing the expectations on clubs regarding match-day decisions, communication regarding abandonments, pitch use, fixture clashes and referee support to identify any improvements required. We remain committed to ensuring women and girls feel valued, respected and supported at every level of the game.
