In an exciting announcement for football fans across the state, Football Victoria (FV) can confirm the venues for next month’s SENOL National Premier League Victoria and Victorian Premier League Grand Finals.
Grand Final weekend will kick-off on Saturday September 13th at The Home of The Matildas where the Victorian Premier League Women (VPLW) Grand Final will commence proceedings at 1pm, prior to the 2025 National Premier Leagues Women (NPLW) Victoria Grand Final at 4pm.
The blockbuster weekend of football then continues on Sunday September 14th, when Lakeside Stadium plays host to the 2025 National Premier Leagues Men (NPLM) Victoria Grand Final. Sunday’s NPLM Grand Final will take place at 6pm following both the Victorian Premier League Men (VPLM)1 and VPLM2 play-off matches.
After a record setting season across crowd attendance, atmosphere and community engagement, Football Victoria recognised the opportunity to pack out the 12,000 capacity stadium at Lakeside with clubs and spectators alike to support in full voice.
Hosting the five pivotal matches across two separate venues will also allow for the best possible playing surface for our respective competitions and Grand Finals and promote quality football.

Football Victoria Interim CEO Dan Birrell explained the fixturing plans, saying it sets up a special weekend for Victorian Football.
“With several of our biggest football clubs on the cusp of finals football, and after extensive feedback from our clubs, we wanted to ensure that each respective day was able to be hosted with an emphasis on player and fan experience, and playing surface. Utilising both the Home of the Matildas and Lakeside Stadium allows us to elevate and platform our clubs and respective competitions as well as promote our sport to the wider community and government”.
“We’re incredibly excited to host the NPLW and VPLW Grand Finals here at The Home of The Matildas, a venue custom built to cater to the needs of all fans and players in the Women’s game. This is the home of football in Victoria and we look forward to welcoming everyone here.
“This is another great moment in our relationship with State Sport Centres, who are key partners and supporters of Football Victoria with Knox Regional Football Facility too, and we would like to thank them for accommodating our needs and look forward to working with the team there to put on an unforgettable experience for our fans.”

The 2025 Grand Finals will see the NPL Men and Women competitions celebrating their 12th and 10th seasons respectively and, with plenty of action both on and off the field, it is set to be an unmissable weekend for the Victorian football community.
Further information, including ticketing and timings, will be released closer to each event.
