Football Victoria's Community in Business (FVCIB) members gather on Friday at Leonda By The Yarra in Hawthorn to network, reconnect and celebrate our game at the Half-Time Luncheon.
With the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New ZealandTM just around the corner, the football community's excitement was palpable as the day's theme celebrated women and girls in football.
Hosted by Michael Zappone, members on the day were treated to a keynote speech from Dr Shona Bass, Matilda Cap #2 and Football Victoria Hall of Fame inductee, who told her story and highlighted the growth of women and girls in football.
The Home Of The Matildas, which was unveiled earlier in the week was also showcased on stage, with a launch video and photos of the new facilities presented to guests.
Other highlights of the day included an address from Football Australia Legacy 23' Ambassador Kate Jenkins and an extraordinary 'Locker Room' panel, which included Paige Zois (Junior Commbank Matilda), Karly Roestbakken (Commbank Matilda) and David Basheer, who will lead Channel 7's commentary team for the upcoming global tournament.
Football Victoria would like to thank all of the FVCIB members who attended and contributed to another superb event.
