Victorian Para Football State Team Crowned Champions at 2025 All Abilities League

The 2025 All Abilities League came to a thrilling conclusion on Saturday, August 30, as part of Football Victoria’s (FV) annual Football For All Gala Day.

This year’s competition brought together 20 teams across four divisions, representing 12 clubs from across Victoria. The league once again celebrated talent, inclusivity, teamwork, and the joy of football, showcasing the power of the game to connect people of all abilities.

FV's All Abilities & Inclusion Programs Coordinator, Selin Arpaci, reflected proudly on the season.

“The growth of the All Abilities League shows just how powerful and inclusive football can be, and I couldn’t be prouder of all the players, clubs, referees and volunteers who make it all possible,” Arpaci said.

The Senior Metro Division Grand Final (Competitive) capped off the day, with the Victorian Para Football State Team crowned Champions after overcoming Hampton Park United Sparrows FC in an exciting contest.

This year also marked the debut of TCHF Whittlesea United SC and Manningham United FC, both of whom made their inaugural appearances in the competition, further expanding the league’s reach.

A new highlight for 2025 was the introduction of the Club Spirit Awards, recognising teams that embodied sportsmanship, inclusivity, and fair play. Northcote City FC earned the honour in the Junior/Youth Divisions, while Mitchell Rangers SC were celebrated in the Social/Senior Divisions.

Other key initiatives included the introduction of a specialised referee panel, the release of official competition rules, and the introduction of match cycles,  all of which contributed to a stronger, more structured competition.

FV extends its gratitude to the clubs, volunteers, and referees who made the 2025 season such a success.
