Football Victoria (FV) is very pleased to announce that in 2022, Victorian Premier League Women (VPLW) matches will be available to watch live via live stream, as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting women's and girls' football.
Interest in female football has never been higher, and with the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™ fast approaching, FV is committed to ensuring our women and girls’ competitions are afforded every opportunity for visibility and engagement.
The broadcast will commence later this month from Round 4 of the 2022 VPLW competition, with 75 home/away matches and three Finals streamed live via the new NPL.TV platform, powered by Cluch.
This new initiative, in conjunction with our existing NPLW and Nike F.C. Cup broadcasts, delivers over 170 Victorian female football matches on NPL.TV in 2022.
Football Victoria Community Competitions Manager, Tessa Sernio, applauded the announcement.
“This announcement is ground-breaking for the VPLW competition.
“Over the past few years, we have seen awareness and interest in NPLW increase dramatically through the delivery of live streams, and look forward to the new opportunities this now affords the VPLW.”
Viewers can follow the matches via dedicated iOS and Android apps, web browsers and smart TV apps. Learn more about NPL.TV and how to sign-up for free HERE.
