Football Victoria (FV) are thrilled to have been invited by Nike to take part in the 2024 Nike Premier Cup, an Under-15 Girls tournament taking place in the USA from Monday, July 22.
A squad of 16 players will depart Melbourne this weekend to face teams from across the globe, providing the ultimate test against some of the world’s very best junior talent. The tournament will run across six days, with the live draw taking place on Sunday and matches commencing from Monday morning.
As well as the high quality football on the pitch, players will enjoy a number of exclusive experiences across the week, providing a preview of the life of a professional athlete.

This extraordinary opportunity has arisen thanks to Nike’s ongoing partnership with FV, which has delivered tangible opportunities to many Victorian women and girls.
The Victorian football community is eagerly counting down to the Nike FC Cup Final on the first weekend in August and the Nike FC Cup Juniors in September; but Nike’s support of Victorian football extends well beyond these highly visible tournaments.
Nike’s investment in coaching qualifications for women and girls doubled the number of C-Diploma qualifications in 2023. The Nike Accelerator Program, a four year partnership with Football Victoria, will see many more benefits rolled out for female footballers in the second half of 2024.
The team will wear a new custom kit provided by Nike and emblazoned with La Trobe University’s brand, as the proud front of shirt sponsor for the tournament. La Trobe University (LTU) has long backed female football, with The Home of The Matildas embedded within the LTU Sports Park and playing host to hundreds of female athletes each week, including the travelling group.

Football Victoria’s Executive Manager Marketing, Engagement and Legacy, Mandy McCarter, expressed FV’s gratitude on being invited to take part in the event.
“This is one of those genuine, once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for these players.
“They are thrilled for the chance to play against the next generation of global female football superstars and to proudly represent Football Victoria on the world stage.
“The memories will last a lifetime and we cannot thank Nike enough for their authentic, ongoing support of female football.”
