The 26th edition of the Victorian Wheelchair Football season came to a close on Saturday, August 26 with plenty of fun made along the way.
Football Victoria's (FV) Wheelchair Football program launched in 1996 and is a modified version of the beautiful game that allows anyone the opportunity to play in a friendly, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Wheelchair Football volunteer Daniel Levy said an "exciting, goal-filled match (4-1)" provided a fitting end to a great season.
"A season that saw an influx of new players and, for a lucky group of players, the thrill of watching the Matildas beat Canada 4-0 at AAMI Stadium in the Group Stage of the World Cup," he said.
"Everyone is already looking forward to the 2024 season and catching up during the off-season. After all, Wheelchair Football is just as much about social interaction as it is about sport!"
The competition is always looking for new players and volunteers and it’s a great opportunity for people with a disability to develop football skills, meet new people, and have a lot of fun.
