This week’s round-up of Victorian footballers plying their trade across the globe features some standout performances. From the Women’s Super League in England to the Bundesliga in Germany, here’s how the Victorians performed abroad.

Kyra Cooney-Cross, the Ballarat City and FV NTC alum, made a brief but impactful appearance in Arsenal’s commanding 5-1 victory over Leicester City on Wednesday, April 16. Cooney-Cross played 23 minutes and continues to build her profile in one of the top leagues in the world.

Jackson Irvine, the Frankston Pines product, was in fine form for St. Pauli in their 2-1 win over Holstein Kiel on Saturday, April 12. Irvine played the full 90 minutes and contributed two shots, helping his side secure the victory in their latest Bundesliga outing.

Another Australian making waves at Arsenal, East Bentleigh and Sandringham junior, Steph Catley, played 67 minutes and completed 65 passes in Arsenal's 5-1 win over Leicester City on April 16. Her contributions were vital in controlling the game and securing the dominant result.
