Victorians nominated for 2024 Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation Awards

Football Victoria (FV) is proud to announce that five Victorian football representatives have been named as finalists at the 2024 Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation (VDSR) Awards.

The VDSR Awards celebrate the achievements of athletes, volunteers, coaches, teams, and initiatives that champion disability sport and recreation across the state. This year’s event will take place on Tuesday, August 26 in the Dillbabkiik Room at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

FV is especially proud to acknowledge three finalists whose contributions are driving inclusive football forward across Victoria:

  • Anna Di Pietrantonio (Manningham United Blues FC) – Volunteer of the Year
  • Football Victoria’s Football For All Gala Day – Sport Initiative or Event of the Year
  • Selin-Deniz Arpaci (Football Victoria) – Administrator of the Year
  • Melbourne Victory All Abilities (Melbourne Victory FC) – Sport Initiative or Event of the Year
  • Melbourne City Powerchair Team (Melbourne City FC) – Team of the Year

These nominations reflect the dedication and passion within the football community to make the game accessible and welcoming for all.

This year saw a record number of finalists in the initiative categories, highlighting the momentum and growth of inclusive sport and recreation across Victoria. Winners will be announced live at the ceremony, including the prestigious Kevin Coombs Lifetime Achievement Award.
