Football Victoria (FV) would like to provide an update in relation to a player eligibility issue in the VPL1 Men’s Competition.
FV has undertaken an investigation into the eligibility of a Manningham United Blues FC (MUFC) player in the 2025 VPL1 Men's Competition.
Following the response and information provided by MUFC, it has been determined, in accordance with the definition set out in section 1.4.1 of the 2025 Rules of Competition (Advanced Competitions), that a player was ineligible to take part in their Round 1 match against Melbourne City FC on Saturday, February 8.
As a result, FV has determined that the score of that match shall be amended to a 3-0 win to Melbourne City FC (the non-infringing team).
The player has since fulfilled the requirements of the suspension, as required under the GDT.
