Wheelchair Football, a staple of Football Victoria’s All Abilities program made its return for 2023 last weekend in Keysbrough.
The Wheelchair Football League takes place at Springers Leisure Centre every Saturday from 11 am-1 pm and is suitable for players 13 years of age and over.
Wheelchair Football is a modified version of the beautiful game that allows anyone the opportunity to play in a friendly, supportive and inclusive environment.
The competition provides people with physical and multiple disabilities the opportunity to compete in a team sport and is open to anyone who uses a wheelchair – electric or manual, independently or assisted.
Players are able to have support on the court if needed and can use their feet to kick the ball or their chair to propel the ball.
Football Victoria's Wheelchair Football League is always looking for new players and volunteers and it’s a great opportunity for people with a disability to develop football skills, meet new people, and have a lot of fun and the cost is FREE.
