DIRECTOR ELECTIONS

Football Victoria’s Constitution provides that there shall be no less than five Directors and no more than nine Directors comprised as follows:

(a) up to six Elected Directors (three male and three female), including who, subject to rules 10.3 and 10.7 are to be elected under rule 10.6; and

(b) up to three Appointed Directors appointed under rule 10.9.

Each director is elected or appointed for a three-year term. The terms of two elected directors and one or two appointed directors expire at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) each year.

To ensure the FV Constitutions new Board Gender Composition Compliance we will be electing two Directors as follows:

  • 1 x female* for a 3-year term
  • 1 x male* for a 3-year term

FV is committed to driving equity at all levels of our game. Achieving 40:40:20 composition across Boards in football ensures diverse perspectives are considered, fosters inclusive leadership, and reflects the communities we serve.

* Genders are stated to ensure we meet the minimum board composition requirements, but please note that we welcome individuals from diverse genders to apply for available positions.

The Nominations Committee have determined the Board Skills Matrix which sets outs the required mix of skills and experience for the Board to realise its strategic objectives. This, as well as the specific skills the FV Board are seeking fill is outlined in the FV Election Policy.

Elections for directors are conducted (and nominations are accepted) in accordance with the FV Constitution and FV Election Policy.  All FV Director positions are voluntary.

The 2025 FV AGM will be held on Monday, 25 May 2026 and nominations for election close on Monday, 20 April 2026 at 6:00pm. The prescribed FV Director Online Nomination Form is available here.
