Women's State League Award Winners
While the Women’s State League took shape after Women's Soccer Victoria amalgamated with the Victorian Soccer Federation in 1998, a decade would pass before Best-and-Fairest and Top Goalscorer awards were first awarded to players across every division, an initiative largely driven by the Women's League Committee of the time, with Maggie Koumi and the late Maria Berry AM advocating for parity with their Male counterparts. In that time the league has grown from five divisions underpinning the Victorian Premier League, almost tripling in size, with more players than ever sharing in the spoils of their respective competition's highest personal honours.
