Hoar-Melvin Award
Named after women's football pioneers Betty Hoar and Janette Melvin, the Hoar-Melvin Award is awarded to the most valuable junior state team player, and dates as far back as 1991. Joanne Satler, Louisa Bisby, Melissa Barbieri and Maika Ruyter-Hooley were among the winners who graduated to the ITC Victoria and Victoria Vision teams that competed in the Women's National Soccer League. The next generation includes Amy Jackson, Enza Barilla, Brianna Davey and Alana Jancevski.
