NPL Victoria Women's Golden Boot
Records for Women's football prior to the amalgamation of the Victorian Women's Soccer Association and the Victorian Soccer Federation (VSF) are difficult to ascertain, so it's no surprise that Golden Boot winners can only be traced back to 2002. Victoria Vision representative and Cranbourne Comets striker Sarah Fitzgerald claimed honours in 2014, the first player to score 30 goals or more in a season. A number of players have gone back to back since then, Laura Spiranovic and Tiffany Eliadis from South Melbourne, along with Melina Ayres (Alamein and South Melbourne) and American import Catherine Zimmerman (Calder United), whose remarkable 43 goals in 2018 is a likely record in the post-amalgamation era. None of them hold a candle to Melanie Camilleri though, her four wins with Keilor Park (2005-2006) and Heidelberg United (2009-2010) see her as the only player to win the Golden Boot more than twice.
