Jones-Martin Award
Named after women's football pioneers Theresa Jones (now Deas) and Andrea Martin, the Jones-Martin Award is awarded to the most valuable youth state team player, and dates as far back as 1990. Melissa Barbieri illustrated her tremendous potential by winning the award twice in 1994 and 1996, with Selin Kuralay and Kyra Cooney-Cross the other Matildas to receive the award. Inaugural Melbourne Victory squad member Sarah Groenewald is the only other player to join Barbieri with two awards.
